PRINCELY X'S DEEP SERIES

Man 'O man
Murderer of humanity,
Destroyer of good deeds,
Promoter of asperity,
Hoarder of common needs.
Man O Man
He creates weapons to stay safe,
Builds asylum to stay sane,
Moulds weapons to stay alive,
In the end to attack humanity.
Man O man
Creator of evil,
All living devils,
Reincarnating after every generation
To come back and cause humanity's annihilation.
Man O man
Lives in walls to study,
Finds no pleasure in talking to nature,
Finds it interesting to climb mountains,
But finds it hard to climb wounded hearts.
Man O man
Cuts doen trees to educate
on the demerits of cutting trees,
Brings down nature with bulldozers;
to make us with nature closer.
Man O man

#DEEP_SERIES DAY1, ENJOY.

On the shores of our republic I laid,
watching as little kids played.
Their joy as clear as the water they befriended,
soon to be taken by people they never offended.

On the beach of our nation,
lay the brink of annihilation.
The northern wave was stronger then ever;
The southern storm laid in preparation.

Bodies unclad,
like the ideologies of our divers.
Integrity washed ashore;
as the cowry shells I hold.

Offshore were debts and impositions,
foreign diplomats and oppositions;
Our bridges collapsed,
along the borders of Niger and Benue.
 #DEEP_SEA About love, compassion and humanity.

Enjoy!

We are one

Frail she looked.
Her gaze fixated on me.
I wanted to help her up,
but she was below my class.

He looked malnourished.
In his eyes I saw hunger and despair.
I had more than enough to spare,
but his wants I left unreached.

My horse went down;
attacked by nature.
I was alone and afraid.
I looked around me and they were there.

Now I wish I had done better;
did I even try at all?
A lesson learned forever,
we are one for now and ever.

Enjoy the third poem in the third night of DEEP SERIES.

Waiting

I felt your presence,
this time without pretense.
It felt heavenly,
the  cool night breeze made it even cuddly;
but you were only in my head.

I saw your silhouette the other day
as I made it to the river,
your presence was real as ever;
but you were still not there.

I have waited for too long,
will you ever be back?
Is this what love really is?
The longing for you rips my soul apart.

Just come home.

A piece o' my heart. A stab to the heart, but as always, 'we gon be alright'.

#FourthNight #DEEP_SERIES

This is for everyone who's lost and can relate.

Dear boy

I watched the other kids play.
I watched junior hail mary.
I sat down the other day to think;
your friend kept my company.

Your wife came the other day,
now she can say the anthem.
She no longer stuttered,
With life she was filled.

Your bicycles are rickety now;
the other kids wouldn't stop using it.
I miss your being there to decide;
who rides what and for how long.

All I have now are images of you,
and the memories you left.
I miss you dear boy,
but I cannot cry now, not until we meet again.
